For this animation we got a styleframe and a suggested scenario as for how the assembly line of the "Wow Factory" could work. In this fun keyframe factory robot arms create keyframes an send them out for shipping. How exactly the robot arms accomplish their task was up to us. I started by planning out my animation before rigging all of the arms and establishing a parenting chain. Additional challenges were setting up the knobs and dials, the numbers on the stop watch, parenting the yellow keyframe to the different arms and splitting the layers accordingly. To finish it off I added in some upbeat music.
Wow Factory
In this exercise from School of Motion's course "After Effects Kickstart" we were tasked with basic rigging and parenting. I gave these robot arms little personalities and let them do some antics, but in the end they were able to finish their work ;-)
