I started by planning out the timing and transitions based on the audio track and artwork. To achieve continuous motion from 10 to 1 I used match cuts and slow drifts after preparing all the files for animation. The shots get more complex the higher up the numbers go and additionally the countdown is set up to work as a loop!
Final Countdown
3 – 2 – 1 ... This countdown loop is based on artwork by Jen Pague – main goal was to create smooth match cuts and keep everything flowing in between the fast/slow/fast parts. I created this animation as part of School of Motion's "Animation Bootcamp 2.0".
